What is the truth about universities preference of taking the SAT vs. the ACT?

Universities have no preference and they accept scores from both SAT and the ACT. It is recommended to take an SAT Prep course as well as an ACT prep course to see which test you would score better at. This way, when submitting the college application, you could submit your better score.
