The SAT and the ACT may be optional now in a few universities. However, it is highly recommended to take either test to increase your chances of receiving a scholarship and getting accepted into college. In addition, a student who submits an SAT/ACT score along with their college application has higher chances of getting accepted vs. a student who does not have a score.
